Ok i am Ash, i got a new pc today and traded my laptop on my new pc is a Dell Dimension c521. my lappy was a toshiba, it ran Sl great, but now i seam to have problems with my new desk top loading it, it pretty much got the same things just 40 gig less in momory.
my grafixs card is a 250MB ATI radeonX1300 pro. i have updated it and i still can't get Sl to run. If anyone can help me that would be nice. i dont see my card on the system thing. it does use a CATALYST. is there a seting i need to get it to run. my pc has duo prossers and 1 gig.and runs on vista.

I'm confused. Are you trying to find the driver for your video card? You said you updated the card.......does not make sense to me
Anyway, you only have 1 gig of system RAM with Vista as your operatiing system. That is just about the bare minimum for Vista.......toss SL in and you are way low on RAM. I run Vista and it takes just about 800 megs of RAM just to keep your computer operational......SL requires about 500 megs to run (minimum). That puts you short at least by 300 megs. You'll get a lot of file swapping due to the lack of RAM. And most computers will crash after a while with too little RAM.
