I hate to sound like a broken record, but... is anyone still having problems on mac 1.3.3 with scripting? I have a script that should work fine, but if I ever make a syntax error, I can't compile anything ever again, and I have to relog.

Yes, I think I have this prob as well. But I am no scripter so I don't know. I may have a genuine syntax error. I dont think so as I am just changing XYZ coordinates in a off the shelf script
Maybe you should report this to the Lindens? Also post it into the bugs forum
