Sounds like a connection issue, does the minimap turn red when this happens? If so, you've lost your connection to the sim.

Speicher 512 MB
Shared Memory 768 MB
S-Video

DVI

Festplatte
Anzahl 1
Kapazität 320 GB
Umdrehung 5400rpm

Minimap turns red, i cannot move...but most of the time i can write IMs and also be on voice. I also tried different SL clients. I use a LAN connection for internet. All works fine, except SL. All needed TCP/UDP ports for SL (which are needed and postet on the SL homepage) are open and I also said my OUtpost Firewall, that SL can be fully trustet. All drivers (graphic card etc) are updated.

My old laptop had not Vista, but windows XP....and it was working quite good.

So what can it be?
SL, internect connection, my hardware??

THx in advance.

hhhmmm no one knows anything?

Maybe that helps:

- updated my firmware for my router (SL still not working)
- updated driver graphic card (again)
- istalled different viewers of SL (all not working)

Can anyone help?

Of the three, it's most likely your internet connection. Some things to try:
Reset your router and modem (also called reboot or power cycle).
If you are using wireless, try hard wiring your computer to your router.
Check for updated drivers for your network interface device (wireless or ethernet card).
If that does not fix it then call your ISP.
