Client freezing

Alright for the past few days I have been having frequent client freezing problems, it seems if I open too many windows at a time inside SL the client will freeze up and I'd have to restart the client. Now when I just stand around and do nothing it freezes up and its pissing me off. I know its not my system because Windows operates perfectly fine otherwise, it may be my ISP thats doing it but I don't know, someone got a suggestion?

Mind replying with your system info? Copy Pasting the top section(not the credits) of Help >About Second Life is enough.

Didn't think I should make a new topic, because this is almost exactly what's happening to me.
I login to SL, and it's REALLY laggy, about 1 FPS. after ~15 sec. it freezes. Any suggestions?

EDIT: I'd post My system, but SL won't even let me in it now.
EDIT x2: Ok, I got it.

You aren't alone.. Anything and EVERYTHING that has to do with secondlife is slow... Loging in, Teleporting, Rezzing, Walking, viewing the HP, when it finally crashed on me just now it took 10 minutes to upload the crash logs.

I know it's not my network because I'm on 20Mbs u/d FIOS. I know it's not my video card.. Nvidia 9800 GTX+. I know it's not my CPU.. 2.8Ghz Dual core running Vista Sp1 and 3.5 GB ram.

Now if the Lindens would respond to this thread and let us know what's happpening that would be fantastic. SL has been like this ALL weekend. It's unbearable and I'm about ready to switch to IMVU until this gets fixed.

Its okay when I don't have alot of things running at a time but when I'm trying to do a freeking roleplay and I'm forced to type my response out in notepad, switch to SL again and quick copy paste and enter... Then its a bit annoying

I happens for me within 1 min., nomatter what I do. I haven't even really tried it out yet. If you so much as double-click, it whacks up.
I'd really appreciate it if SOMEONE would answer this...

Sorry for the DP, but does anyone have any suugestions for us?
I talked to a friend who has SL, and he thought it might be my graphics card.

I snagged the latest driver for my video card, that did seem to fix some of the issues in some of my games though the SL client still tends to freeze up. I thought it may of been my internet connection but then someone said it might be my router but if other people have this problem and their computer surpasses the requirements to run SL I doubt its the Computer. When I first got this rig I was able to run five copies of SL at once all on Ultra setting with little to no laggage :/

I don't know anything about Intel Broadwater, other than it's a GMA (read: integrated graphics) Intel released about three years ago. Integrated graphics chips are notorious underperformers with regards to 3D graphics, and that fact alone will explain a lot of your performance issues.

However, the most telling thing in your information is your OpenGL version. OpenGL 1.4.0 is ungodly-old, dating back to around 2005. This is roughly equivalent to DirectX 8. I'm actually surprised your viewer didn't complain about this and refuse to run!

You can try looking for updated drivers for your video chip, but ultimately, you're going to need to pony up for a dedicated graphics card, if your motherboard supports one.

Having same issue of client freezing and have to restart the whole computer as everything just locks up. Started late saturday night. I know its not the best Nvidia, but I've had no issues til now.

Seems to be a lot of recent problems such as freezing up, being logged off for no obvious reason, logon problems, crashing and tp problems. I do know that my system is stable [Vista], how to trouble shoot and handle most fine tuning, etc., and I've never had to wait 10 minutes for my inventory to load or for profiles to fill in. But this is SL acting weird, plain and simple. I wouldn't mess with one's system to try to fix SL problems, unless you are absolutely sure it is your computer causing the problem. Ask yourself, "Are all my other programs running well?" If so, it is SL.
