Sometimes I'd like to take a photo of a location from high up in the sky, but often the low clouds (which are at about 250 - 270 ish I think) get in the way.
Is there a setting I can use to temporary turn these off so I can't see them anymore?
Thanks.

On your Advanced menu, go to Rendering | Types | Clouds
Turn that off. Poof, no more clouds.

Turn that off. Poof, no more clouds. Excellent. Thanks for that. I'll try "Poofing" them later for a screenshot

You can also turn them off in the Environment Editor under the Advanced-> Clouds tab. That way they will stay off next time you log in. Check out Torley's video tutorial on the subject: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zBLLWcj91g&feature=user
