When I type my name and my password and press connect it sais like it can't connect.. Is this a temporary problem or am I doing somthing wrong?

Well, without more info, and judging by the fact that you go to the fourms. I'd either say you had a hiccup in your connection, and yes, the problem is temporary. Or, you've got somthing mis-configured, perhaps your firewall is blocking SecondLife from connecting to its master servers? Either way- without more information, its hard to tell.
