I just had to swap out my hard drive and now when I installed SL I just get black screens. There are different shades of black, but I can't read a thing. What might I have done wrong?!

Do you have exactly the same programmes (QuickTime, .NET Framework, Graphic Drivers etc etc) on the new HD?

Honestly, I don't have a real answer. That has happened to me before with a mismatched opengl driver, but I wouldn't think that's the problem you are having. |

I have the identical set up as I had before. I was thinking it might be a SL issue, but it seems people are in SL now, and I can't get there. I am beginning to get the shakes from withdraw!

If you are using XP, install .NET Framework version 2, if Vista version 3 or 3.5. The default version 1.1 is shipped with XP.
.NET Framework is the runtime environment that supports OpenGL platforms such as SL.
