When i looked it up in the dxdiag of my computer. It said that my main driver was s3legacy.dll. I cant get on second life because it says that my video driver is either out of date, faulty needs to be reinstalled. etc. Is it true that my video cards drivers cant be updated to work with second life

the s3 trio is a rather old card, and when it was new it was not even up to the task of that era software
im sorry to say you cannot run SL with that card
i cant pinpoint the date of it, but it seems when the "new" windows 98 came out there was some driver issues with it, and they go for 79 cents brand new retail
before getting into what you can or cannot use to upgrade please post more system specs
