Spent the whole weekend rebooting my crashed pc cuz of SL... so frustrated.. why is it not working?
Anyone know anything? when is new update coming out?

It is possible to provide these features in a low-overhead way, but most of the products out there with these features, regrettably, require a LOT of processing by the sim when you TP in. If you can, set up a copy of your hair or boots, and then use the "delete" option (whatever it may be called) to get rid of the resize scripts. |

If your entire PC is crashing as a result of running SL, like the OP said, that's quite possibly a different matter than SL crashing but the computer's still running, which is what the second poster said.
The entire computer crashing when running SL might be caused by overheating, which can be caused by dirty fans, fans gone bad, fan power supply plug getting loose, etc.
If your computer lets you monitor temperatures, it might be useful to post what those temps are.
You might want to open your computer and blast it with some compressed air. Then run it while it's open and look to see that all the fans are spinning properly. If you blow on a fan, with the machine unplugged, it should spin a bit.
More detail from the OP might be useful, such as computer specs, what version of SL viewer is being used, and more detail on what conditions the crashing occurs..

SL Crashing Issues

I am having the same problem....I crash whenever I Teleport to another sim. Also, my voice chat won't work 90% of the time, even though it SHOULD, as everything is set up correctly, and I can test the mic and everything. Plus, the chat and then eventually everything will get really laggy and eventually crash.....we're talking less than one FPS. And the one in 10 times that voice DOES work, it is so garbled noone can understand me.
Everything ran flawlessly on Friday, but when I tried loggin in today (Monday), something is seriously screwed up. I have tried on my PC and my laptop, so it doesn't seem to be a local settings issue, as nothing has changed since Friday on either. I am thinking it might be something in the 'net locally...I am in the US southeast.
