Every time I press up arrow 2-3 times my avie starts running, I have looked through all the menus and preference tag looking for the option to change this settings, but have drawn a blank so far. Any advice on this would be greatly aprreciated.

If you're using the 1.20 RC, that's a new "feature"... tapping the forward button twice and then holding it now makes you run instead of walk and there's currently no way to turn it off.
