ETA: I must rescind, I tracked down a Linden, Nyx Linden, and he gave me the suggestion of trying to change outfits, which worked. Much obliged to your helpful ideas!
My poor, dear Masumi has been a gas cloud/ruth for the past 6 months. I've tried EVERYTHING, I swear. Different computers, different connections. I've even been in different states using said computers. Reinstalled, jacked up all the bandwidth options, sitting on things, changing titles. I can sit in world for hours and nothing will happen to her.
I'm distressed, I've spent so much time w. my love, and I'm also worried that since it's a basic account that my ticket won't be resolved.
The post is a more 'woe is me' thing but maybe someone can offer me some more suggestions. Is it worth calling them? Should I upgrade my account and see if they'll pay more attention?

Have you tried loading a different skin / shape maybe you're having an issue with the current one? As for the cloud feature this can be disabled by access the Debug Settings menu.
You need to enable Advanced menu for Windows this is done with Ctrl + Alt + D
Next click on Advanced, Debug Settings..., type in: RenderUnloadedAvatar and set this to TRUE.

Thanks for that suggestion. I just tried and now I see the Ruth but it still wont let me go into appearance. And it wont let me put on different skins/shapes because it tells me it cant until Im fully loaded, which doesnt happen. =(

Doing an uninstall will not remove the Second Life profile application directory that's buried in the hidden apps folders. For Windows, try C:\users\(profile name)\appdata\local or roaming\second life\. Try manually deleting that folder and see what happens.

I have alts, they all load fine. Just not my poor little Masumi. Would deleting that folder help tho if I've already installed SL on other computers that didnt previously have SL?
