looking for a bit of help please,first post.

hi all this is my first post.

i joined sl yeserday and began playing,anyway to cut a long story short,last night i tied to log in to it again and for some reason i cant get in,i just kep getting this same messege saying= we're having trouble conecting,there may be a problem with your internet conection or the second life servers.
you can either check your internet conection and try again in a few minutes,click help to connect to our support site,or click teleport to attempt to teliport home.

ive tried all of these and still cant get in,my internet connection is fine so i dont know what else it could be.
any help would be realy apretiated as i was just starting to get in to it.

oh and when i try again i get a messege saying= you have been disconected from the region you where in.
and then it switches itself off.

Hi traveler! Welcome to the forums. Are you using wireless? SL needs very steady bandwidth, at least 400kb/sec, to get or stay connected, and wireless connections often just don't do it.

You can test your connection speed at http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest?flash=1 ... try the San Francisco server.

Alternatively, if you are sharing an internet connection (usually the case if you play from school or if your home has a lot of folks using the internet), then either you may not be able to get enough bandwidth or someone may have changed a firewall setting to block a port that SL uses.
