Hey I have had a problem for the last few days I am unable to access about land on my sim, I cannot TP anywhere without crashing and cannot access my Groups.
I have just been in live chat with somone and she has explained that as I am using a Wireless Connection Lap Top that this is the problem. Apparently its the new Software that came out a few days ago does not allow Wireless Connections.
I explained my anger to the woman and said thanks for ruining my use of Second Life if I have to sit upstairs on my PC on my own when I want to use SL.
She said ok and have a nice day
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR is that it then and is anyone else having these same problems cos this is really frustrating

Wireless connections and SL generally don't mix well. It's the nature of how much data is sent to your computer and how wireless connections are subject to so many interferring outside forces.........it often causes problems for you. If you insist on using wireless you can try moving your router or access point closer to where you normally use SL........or moving your phsyical location closer to that wireless access (or both). Hardwire is best......and for the foreseeable future it will continue to be the best. If you can't fix it by relocating some of your wireless gear, hardwiring is about the only way. If that is something you can't do or live with then I guess you are rather limited to what you can do. If that is leaving then...............hmmmmm, don't know how to say it.
Good luck.

Thousands of people must use SL on a Lap top with a wireless connection if this is the case then I am dumbfounded by this I never said wireless connections don't work with SL..........I said wireless and SL don't generally mix well..........you missed that single important word (generally)? Wireless connections are prone to problems and issues that are sometimes out of anyone's control........your cordless phone, cell phone, that microwave you got for your birthday, your neighbors wireless router, inventor friend down the street trying to make his XBox play better. Any number of things. Wireless gear is low powered (for obvious reasons) so almost anything can interfer with reception or communication between the devices connected through it.........distance, walls, that cabinet you moved across the room last week, maybe you put the router on a different shelf to make it easier for you keep it dusted. Again, almost anything. People who successfully use wireless usually know these things and adjust the equipment to accommadate. Some refuse...........those people usually have continuing problems.

Get a good Wireless-N router and N card, and you shouldn't have as many problems.
