Blue map

When I try to access the map all I get is a blue screen with a torch thing in the middle. How can I get the map?

That is the map.

Sometimes depending on the grid's health, what sim you are in, and the phases of the moon, the map may or may not load. If it doesn't load, I'll usually region cross to another sim, and try again. Still not loading, I'll Teleport home and try again. Still not loading, then SL is probably having issues. (and of course if the Teleporting fails too, thats a sign of grid issues.)

the map is a gigantic series of texures in SL

think of how long it takes to load 1 image, then to load all the images in a scene, then add another (what) 32 texures on top of that

it takes its sweet time sometimes
