American keyboard layout and snapshots

I've been trying to take a snapshot to disk in mouseview, but haven't had any luck.

According to the file menu, the shortcut for snapshot to disk is a single inverted comma (or possibly CNTL-SHIFT-single inverted comma.

I would have thought that on an American keyboard the single inverted comma was above the 2, but that doesn't work. I've tried all kinds of combinations, but none of them seems to work.

Could somebody let me know whether or not I'm right about the position of the single inverted comma, and if so, whether the keyboard shortcut actually works.

Many thanks.

It's the ` Key.... an open apostrophe, not a comma... most commonly shared with the ~ ... and on my keyboard it's directly left of the 1 along the top.

Aaron is right about the placement. Its sometimes hard to explain or understand where it is though. Just in case, I attached a pic for you, the red circled key is the one your looking for. Only that key, you dont have to combine it with shift.

My question is why are you wanting to take mouselook pics? The only reason I could see is if your in a vehicle, is that it? If not, it is usually better to frame your shot with alt+focus.

Loki,

Thanks to you and Aaron - that explains it very well. I think I've already tried that key, but I'll give it another go.

Um - ALT+focus? Why am I always revealing my ignorance on these boards? Um, what is ALT+focus?

:o

If you hold down the Alt key, you can click or click-drag to zoom in and out. Combining it with ctrl and shift lets you do other stuff as well.
