There is a series of problems throughout SL that occur when you have tooo many Calling Cards.... (You probably already know what I'm Talking about)

I think this is a case of "it's so ubiquitous, everyone assumed that it is already on the Fix List" - but I did some searching and could find no pre-existing complaints/ suggestions.

I don't remember the threshhold at which it became a problem - but let's say 300 Calling Cards - this "Feature" that centres the Name Lists - becomes a bug - NOT a feature .

At around 600 - 700 Calling Cards say... The Name lists simply move non stop - bouncing constantly from name to name - not even readable. Obviously - this renders the list useless. without Cat-like reflexes and Prodigy-level speed reading and Monitor refresh rate performance - you can't even select a name from a list.

A related bug - the "So AndSo is Online" anounce feature - needs to be adjustable - like the Chat Font and decay rate is.. Or it is simply an obtrusive Muddle as well.

Many people have been forced to delete all of their contactws and start again because of this - 500 to 1000 Contacts is not a lot - My RL office Rolodex holds around 5000 names - 90% are contacts that I need to keep and will definitely use in the next year. In SL - if you have say 10 hobbies (nearly EVERYBODY uses up all 10 groups and wants more...) - that is to say 10 different Folders of people (Builders, Socializers, DJs , Dancers, AnimeLovers, scriptKiddies, Europeans, DarkWoodsPlayers, GaysAndLesbians, WhateverTypesOfPeople ....) it does not take long to meet 50 of the people in that group and want to keep track of them - 50 people is a common Large-Clique Threshlod. 50x10=500, I think that is a normal amount of personal contacts - but the Lists are already broken by then.

Please allow for Freakishly social people like me! I am already far worse than My examples and I have only been here for 3 months !

Since the Naming Fates have made me your antithesis - I feel it is my responsibility to respond on behalf of misanthropic, loner, nomads everywhere.

I do not associate with these "humans"; neither in SL, nor in RL. Once in a rare while, I meet someone worthy of my aquaintance - someone who is this unusual has earned my attention and I must be notified the moment they are online!

Do not take away the functionality you have in place!

Please make it a check box - if you absolutely must pander to these promiscuous socializers. Pfft.
