Hiya all,

Up till now things have been pretty smooth SL wise... but recently it's gone a bit strange. when I move to walk, my av takes a few seconds to respond to what I'm doing at my keyboard.

For instance, when I go to turn left, my av will keep walking straight ahead and then turns left after about 3 seconds..

I do understand about lag etc but even when I had my less than adequate computer, this kind of thing never happened. I've had a look at the various settings but nothing I do seems to counteract this particular problem..

Would anybody have any suggestions as to why this is happening and as to how I may remedy it... I would most appreciate it..

Thanks

Make sure you don't have anything attached (or in world) that controls your keys..
In example, shields, movement locks (those to avoid being pushed around), speed tools..
I noticed that some of those tools sometimes tend to "lag" your input.
(especially if they make your av phantom/non physical)

There should be a "Release Keys" button, or menu option for that, too.

I'd rule out a network issue, otherwise every interaction with the world would be lagged the same way (like typing or clicking on things) I think..

Is it just the arrow keys? Maybe you've worn them out :-D

Thanks for the replys....

@Wolf - I have nothing attached at all and it's just really strange... it doesn't make SL unlive-able etc but I just can't figure it out..

@Opsrey....lol yes it is the arrow keys and you may be right about me wearing them out :)

I was just thinking that maybe it was some sort of setting in 'preferences' that I was missing ...
