This issue is not related to that which are stated in the link you provided Fearless.. this is an direct Sl related issue. I have the same problem.. It happens when SL client crashes. then when you try to log in again. it load all the way through then starts rezzing the grafixcal interface then BOOM SL client crash.. I found the best way to get around this annoying problem is to Login to your homepoint insted of the last place you were (this problem started for me in the last vision of the RCV)

Uninstall, find and delete your xml files manually, they wont get removed on a uninstall, and they can make instant crash on login/errors along with your cache folder/files , but if you start crashing on login, set tp to another sim also helps.

Also noticed if you log at 4000m or so (768m+?), log and log back in instant ~crash~ , lovely, so back to home point to manage to log in (again).

When you log in and try to rez alot near you , usually crash client, doesnt always happen, but when it does keep this in mind.
