Alright, I've been looking at Second Life for a while now, and decided to join.

So, low and behold, I join.

Then, it makes me aware that I only have a radeon 7600 card, and redirects me to a page when I then download the ATI Radeon9600, and then the Nvidea (Sorry, don't know what it is now, It was earlier on in the day)

And now, when I try playing, it still tells me I don't have all the things, when I downloaded everything twice, rebooting my computer a total of four times.

Now, my computer just acts slow (I WAS running T1, on XP) and when I move things around, it back tracks.

How do I get going to play this game, and once the trial is up, how do I make sure my computer no longer acts slow?

Thanks.

xx

Or, can someone please give me the DIRECT LINKS (I dont want to have to click around) to EXACTLY what I need?

I only have a few more days until this thing expires, and I REALLY want to play.

thanks.

Ok, I'm chopping your post into pieces, because you seem to ask about three different questions.

You're going to need to post your EXACT system specs for us. What you just stated above does not make sense at all. A Radeon 7600 (doesn't exist?) is one card, and a 9600 is another. Now if you just mistyped, it sounds like it told you to update your drivers. Good. Update your ATI drivers by going to the ATI website (ati.com) and downloading and installing the drivers for your card.

MAKE SURE IT'S FOR THE RIGHT CARD! Know what card you have by what you have, not by what SL tells you. I've never heard of SL being wrong about what you have, but it's better safe than sorry.

Downloading and installing what? SL? Drivers?

Now I'm confused. Did you manage to get into SL or not?

This sounds like very simple network-lag and/or packetloss. You sure you have a T1? A reliable one? One with wires? (i.e. a non-wireless network)
