Sorry if this has been asked before, I was unable to find it anywhere, after searching the forums.
When I try to log in to SL I get the following message:
Login failed. Your account can only access Second Life between 12:00:00 and 22:00:00 Pacific Time. Please come back during those hours. If you feel this is an error, please contact support@secondlife.com.
I can't find help on this anywhere, it seems similar to the message you get when you've been banned, but I've never logged on before, so it would have taken some skill to get banned already. I saw in the tech. support wiki some people had commented describing the same problem, but I haven't been able to find a solution. Can anyone help me out here?
Thanks in advance, Nebby

Hi Nebby, this is the same message my daughter gets when she wants to log into the Teen grid... If you have a Teen grid account, the message is correct I know, those login times suck, my daughter has the same problem, but the Lindens aren't going to change it until they feel they have enough supervision on the Teen grid. If you have a regular account, this message is not correct and you should report it to support Hope this helps !

Ahh! I see. Well I'm not quite 18 so maybe there is a mandatory thing happening there. I don't remember electing to have a teen grid account. We'll see. I'll complain about it either way. Thanks very much for your help.

From: Blue Linden Yes indeed...poor main grid residents have no idea what they are missing Not alot for the europeans/australians, i would guess most of the teens are still on the main grid as the opening times are 9pm - 7am central european time, 7am - 5pm aus eastern time Which is either getting to be too late or during school hours

Don't cha just love a company that offers international access but is firmly Californiacentric in its operation. Kids on the east coast have it the best, they can access the teen grid just as they get out of school and can stay on until 1am!
The saying is "act local, think global." Not the other way around.

Okay, here's a tricky one. My girlfriends account is unrestricted because she's over 18 (or it might be the other way around) and I was using my account within their hours today on her PC. And now she has the restrictions on her account even though she's over 18 and wasn't restricted last night. Can anyone explain that? It's the same error. If she's set somehow to log in on the teen grid, how is that changed when you're over 18?
Thanks again for the help, Nebby

Thanks again for the help, Nebby Oh geeze, you really need to read the terms of service and the instructions. Being under 18 is like you are carrying the black plauge. Second Life tags what ever IP address you use your account on and it makes it restricted. SL is very agressive in keeping adults out of the teen grid and vice versa. Your over 18 girlfriend is going to have to call the service number and have customer service fix it. You are going to cause problems on every computer you use your account on I imagine.

Ah, shits... What a load of... Yeah. I'm really not impressed with that. In fact I'm pretty unimpressed all up so far. I think I can see why they aren't going to reach their 1 million user estimate in the time frame they specified... Hopefully soemthing will change my mind real soon. :J It seems to have a lot of potential.

Is it correct for teen grid users to be in the regular grid forums?

I assume not, as my girlfriend can't view these forums.
