IMs breaking chat focus?

Howdy hey,

Last night after the boat sim race was full, I was hanging out 'round my home and chatting with a Linden who stopped by. During this time Nexus Nash was keeping up a running commentary on the boat race via system-wide IMs and I found that every time I had an incoming IM while I was typing in the chat box, I'd lose focus on the chat box. I had to click back into the chat box to complete my line.

I can't ever remember receiving IMs while typing so I didn't know if this was well-known. Is this a known issue, or was it a function of Nexus' cute system-wide IM hack?

(oh, and by 'hack' I don't mean 'exploit', I mean the oldschool term meaning 'clever solution' ... don't wanna seem like I'm accusing Nexus of messing around illegally!)

yup it is a known issue, there is a whole thread dedicated to it im stealing focus or something like that
