Hiya all,
I'm currently an employee for a University, looking to develop an online community for our current students, which will deal with different role playing simulations. Therefore, with a need for access controls we've opted to purchase a private region/island.
However, we wish to build a virtual world for both our students to use, and other universities/institutions to use (at a set price), and therefore making us semi-educational, semi-profit. I've read through all the documentation on educational (discounted) private islands, and I'm still unsure if this would make us qualify for an Educational private island, or otherwise we'd have to opt for the normal (company) private island.
Can anybody shed some light on this, would we still be able to qualify for an educational island (even though we are providing educational facilities for our students, whilst make outside instituations pay to use our facilities)?
