Someone please help me. I'm getting multicolor spears of varying sizes splashing across my sl screen. wtf??? The spears are really pretty colors and all, but dang it they're blocking my view! I think it probably has something to do with my graphics card. I've been having this problem ever since I downloaded the latest viewer. I think the name of my graphics card is VisionTek Radeon X1550. Can someone help me with this please. It's making me crazy.

That happens quite often after a new release. Update your graphic card's driver. If this problem's still there return to this thread.

Hi, Jinne. You have a card from ATI, and they frequently have a problem with rendering Vertex Buffer Objects (VBO). To turn it off, go to Edit/Preferences/Graphics (custom). Choose the Hardware options button in the bottom right of the dialog, you should uncheck VBO (it is on by default, I believe).
VBO is an optimization that makes rendering faster for cards that can handle it, but if your card/drivers cannot, it 'shreds' the image with multicolored shards.
If that works, try upgrading your drivers. .

Both suggestions worked. I am now shard free. Unchecking VBO worked, but i went to the ATI website and downloaded a new driver anyway. I then rechecked VBO, and now even with the VBO checked I still don't get the shards, and I get a better picture.
Thank you both so much for your responses. Hugs and kisses all the way around!
