Well the subject says it all really. I can see the land geometry and I can turn my camera, but thats it. I cant move and it seems like something should be loading such as scenery or my avatar. Of course I have all the latest drivers etc etc. Any clues anyone?

Also the program crashes when i try to turn on mouselook. Which is pretty ridiculous.

As a first step, do you have broadband? Does your computer meet the minumum requirements for SL?

Are you on an ATi card? Are your video drivers up to date? All drivers? Have you emailed customer support?

yes im broadband and yes i have all drivers, i mentioned that. However the problem is now gone. I ended up specifying the port ranges of 12020-13050 to my computer.
Im not sure why or if this was the actual fix because I had already had my firewall set to allow access on all ports by Newview.exe, the second life program.
Maybe the server was just down or there was some weird glitch over here.
