I have been running Windows 7 64 bit for a couple weeks now, with no issues.
Today I did find a problem that I wanted to share. If you have any of your own items locked down . You will not be able to edit them at all. I know this has to be the operating system and not a sl bug because I logged in with my xp machine and was able to edit them. If anyone has had this problem and has found a fix please let me know.

Issue is resolved.

I run SL in a limited account on Windows 7, by running it in Administrator I am able to edit the items.

If you are talking about prim objects you own such as furniture or houses (actually any prim that is not worn) being locked, you should not be able to edit them as long as the item or linkset is locked. It's not a problem with either your operating system or SL........it works that way on purpose. It must be unlocked to edit.

However, as I read your post, it seems your XP machine can edit these same objects while they are locked? That's the oddity if that's the case.

Penny, I am the creator and the owner of the prim objects but I am unable to edit them to unlock them under this operating system. When I click on edit they highlight then the edit window goes grey and the highlighted prim is no longer highlighted. Sorry if I sound confusing.

This has nothing to do with your OS. Simply turn off Select Only Movable Objects in the Tools menu, and then you'll be able to select the locked objects, to unlock them for editing.
