Weird Scripting bug?

Yesterday I set the playtypinganim to false and ever since then i've been getting weird blue, sometimes red and green prism shapes appearing on my avi and other objects. The shapes don't stay but they are really annoying. They only seem to originate at the point of an object with scripting. I'm fresh out of ideas here, anyone got any ideas how to stop it

You've enabled "Show Updates."
It's in Advanced or toggle with cntrl-alt-shift-U.
