The 6100 nVidia graphic chip is a motherboard mounted chip which uses system ram. Depending on your system manufacturer, you are probably best advised to visit the manufacturers website for driver links as sometimes they are bespoke to use system functions. If their links simply point towards the nVidia website, then you can go straight there.
It is also adviseable that you download and use the Motherboard drivers as these will be written for that motherboard functions, including any Bios updates (although you should always be very careful how you update the bios in all cases).
Assuming you have a spare GC slot, it is always a better choice to install a stand alone Graphics Card with dedicated memory.

I have had some luck with the command line options ( https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Client_parameters) especially -noprobe with older laptops, then get in and turn down any performance based preferences you can, to start.
