I get an error that netdtect.dll can't be found, but I can still open SL. I'm wondering where it might have gone? Why do I get this error? Anyone know?
Thanks, Ingie

I get the same behavior. It began with the upgrade to 1.2.11. The MS tech support link isn't very helpful. I have not made any network driver changes with this computer and the page gives no instructions for how to resolve the issue other than telling me that my system may hang for 5-10 minutes when upgrading to SP1 (which I already did a long time ago).
The problem must be related to going from 1.2.10 to 1.2.11.

The change that we made in 1.2.11 that's likely to cause this to happen is that we're using some DirectX 9 APIs to detect hardware and device drivers that are on your system in order to track down driver related bugs.
It's likely that that's what's happening - if you run dxdiag (the directx diagnostic tool), it'll probably do the same thing if that is the problem.

Thanks all, also , I read at Microsoft, that this .dll is no longer supported/needed in Windows XP. Also, that it does no harm when you see the pop up. They have solutions for their own products, but for third party products, we're supposed to contact them Anyway, I don't mind hitting the ok button so long as it helps LL locate bugs ;P Love Ingie
