Logged in this morning and my character was drawing incorrectly. It appeared as if my butt, back and head had all draw in alignment with feet. As a result, my butt was at my feet, my back was on my legs and my head was where my butt should have been. It was rather humorous, but seems to be a mac client issue, as a windows user I talked said eveything looked fine. Their character was drawn with the same issue.
CPU is a G5 with an nVidia NV34. Last night on my PB 1GHz and an ATi M9 card, all looked well. Perhaps it is an nVidia issue.
I tried to save a picture out of the game by saving a snapshot to disk, but the game froze.

Casper -- go into Preferences (Ctrl-P). Go to the either the Display or Performance tab (can't remember which offhand) and uncheck the "Avatar Vertex Program" box. This is a likely culprit for the mis-rendered avatar. Or if the box is unchecked, check it. It's a 50/50 shot Good luck.

I ahve this problem.. when I change clothes or modify them.. If I change from full screen to windowed or windowed to full screen, the forced redraw includes the updated clothing.
Any ideas what I can do to keep this from happening.. I've talked to other mac users on SL and have heard they have had the same issues.
TY QuickSilver.

Character Redraw Error

Hi... I had the same problem. The characters head appeared between the legs. But when i tried turning off the 'vertex shader program' it was corrected. She looks normal now! Thank you so much for the help! Yay the forums work!
