I had issues with my old video card, I don't really know what it was but it was a Geforce, I could run multiple Second Lifes without any real problem, up to 3, it would just be ok, sometimes a bit slower but couldn't notice with two SLs.

My brother changed this to a Radeon HD 4890 and since then, I can no longer run more than a SL or it gets painfully slow, until the whole computer freezes. With just one SL, it does even faster than before on the old video card.

I'm not sure about the more techy stuff, but I have a Core 2 Extreme with 4GB ram and Vista service pack 2.

Updated my drivers to the last ones from AMD website but it's still happening.

I would just like to have two SLs open, I can do it on my slower laptop, could anybody please help me?

Thank you very very much!

My first suggestion is to exchange the ATI 4890 for an equivalent Nvidia card. GTX260 or GTX275.

If that's not possible, see if Boy Lane's Rainbow Viewer with the SSE2 patch works better with your computer:

You could try lowering your graphics settings.

Omg Milla, not only SL got A LOT better but I can run as many SL as I want now, it's working perfectly, so much better than the norma SL I can't even believe.

I had some issues to find the actual files which are at:

Thank you very much! :)
