Hi - I am buying a new system and I would like opinions on which Video Card would be better for SL - an ATI HD4850 512M PCI-E or Geforce 9800GT 512M PCI-E? Thanks! I'll be running XP Professional.

thats a tough choice
the ati has a faster gpu speed, but the nvidia has a faster memory controller, they really both perform about the same overall
now the ati heads will tell you the ati owns all and same with the geforce freaks
historically ATI has more problems with SL then nvidia, but as a user of both over the years ive not once had any issue with either
me, personally i lean towards the nvidia, for no other reason than personal preference
