Is it possible that SL (both current and windlight) look for an OpenGL version string of "2.0" and if it doesn't see that, it only offers up OpenGL 1.3 rendering options?
I upgraded my PC nVidia drivers from 101 to 145 (the latest available for my laptop) and I swear I lost bumpmap and ripple water. I'm wondering if it is because the 145 drivers have OpenGL 2.1, instead of 2.0, and SL mistakenly thinks 2.1 doesn't have all the features needed.
I've heard others complain that things break past about Nvidia version 137... is it possible that everything after that has OGL 2.1 or later?
On my Mac, it is recognized as OpenGL 2.0, and water ripple is there for the current version, and bumpmap is available for windlight.
On further investigation, it isn't a 2.0/2.1 issue. But still, I downgraded from nvidia 145 to 101, and every stinkin option is available again (ripple, bump mapped and cloth.)
