Can't Sign Into SL But I Can On An Alt Please Help!

I am trying to sign into SL but i cant for some reason on this account it keeps giving me this message.

We're haveing trouble connecting. There may be a problem with your
internet connection or the Second Life servers.

You can either check your internet connection and try again in a
few minutes, click help to connect to our support site, or clock Teleport to attempt to teleport home.

I have tried everything i know but I haven't gotten anywhere with it. Please help me this really sucks.

If you've cleared your cache once try doing it again.......and if that does not work, you might try manually deleting the cache folder entirely from your computer. When you log in log into a quiet sim that you have not been to recently. Pooley is an often mentioned sim. You can also try my home sim, Philudoria. And sometime clearing your browser cache helps too.

ok its still doing it. every time the loading bar gets to the region hand shake but then the error comes up. i tried going to the regions you suggested but still didn't work

I think it may be the region that i was in because my partner is having the same issue so and he was in the same place with me it is a rp sim called toxia city

Did you manually delete the cache folder from your hard drive?

You can find the location of the cache by looking on the "Network" tab in preferrences.......it's in a box directly below the "Clear Cache" button.

Also when I mentioned clearing the browser cache I was referring to option in your preferrences to clear the browser cache.....especially if you are using the built-in browser for the client. That is located on the "Web" tab in preferrences.

Then the next step is submitting a support ticket. While you are at that since you'll be on the support portal search the wiki and FAQ's for that error message..........it's been a long time but I'm pretty there is a entry for a solution for the problem you've discribed.

ok finnaly i was able to get on it was that sim i loged off on last Toxia it needs to be reset or something because it is causeing major issues

And as you said, in the same region twice now--Cavanaugh. Have cleared cache, have tried to go to another area. Have submitted a support ticket and their suggestions did not work, went to Emerald viewer, that did not work. Asked for help again and got the same suggestions that did not work the first time! It has now been 8 days since I was able to sign in as Xildie.

Try logging in to a different location.

(Edit - Preferences - General - Show Start Location on Login Screen).

Just so you know - you can access Edit-Preferences from the login screen before you connect.

Have tried that too--no dice, as well as clearing the cache from the sign-in page, as well as clearing the cache from the account of my main avi, which I have never had any trouble signing in. It's so weird. If I ever do get her back she is leaving that region and never coming back!

Are you ghosted? Can you see your status as "online" when you log in as an alt?

Yes, definitely ghosted. Have even tried going to Xildie's apt and 'bumping' her, but can walk right through her.
