Sorry about the delay. Here's the list of last weeks top ten user submitted bugs. If I have a status ont hem, I'll mention it and if I get and update I'll try and update this page.

1. Visual C ++ crash (fixed in 1.2.7)
2. Multiple trash cans in user inventory
3. Invalid email error when entering credit card information. (Fixed earlier this week)
4. No planting trees on group land. (This is being looked into. Most of these reports are coming from Boardmand and Crimson which are set to "No Terraforming" and technically trees and "an shrubbery" are covered under this.)
5. Custom Gestures not saving (PC)
6. Parcell full error when plenty of prim allotment available. (Might be a timing bug, we're trying to reproduce.)
7. Textures out of focus at certain angles
8. Mac user Head between the legs (Avatar Vertex Program error)
9. Black face on avatar (mobile radeon 9000's with Cat 3.1 drivers)
10. Offer of teleport sends someone to the wrong location

Remember this list is being comprised from bug reports you send in and we're hoping to keep you updated on what's the status of these.

I think this has something to do with where your camera is pointed. It always seems to happen when my camera is pointing at someone elses land...

"Custom gestures" like removing the binding between F6 and "BOO!!!", or like typing "/float" and going into the yoga float anim.

I noticed this as well, but assumed it was where I was clicking to rez an object. If I point at a platform, but the land that is being pointed at is not mine, it gives me that error. I don't get that error when I look straight down so the land under the pointer is teh same as the land the object is over. Doing that pretty much has gotten rid of those messages for me, but is annoying, yeah.

As for #6. Get the parcel/prim stork moving and get that stuff reproducing.

And for #8. I think its where it should be *starts another IBM vs Mac thread* (j/k btw)

*also ponders wearing a black texture on face to mess with those card users for #9*

Hehe

Ok, serious questions for #7 and #10

For 7, how are the textures out of focus at certain angles. Does this mean if you simply pull back and the image of the texture "blurs" or "fuzzes up" it is that bug? I'm just trying to see if its just me or a loading thing to save bandwidth.

For #10, how is it sending people to the wrong location? I've noticed that sometimes it won't teleport me at all when I'm offered sometimes. It will start the loading screen then pops me back to where I originally was before the TP.

BTW,
I think the #1 bug should be listed as ATI Radeon compatibility.

I do believe that until the problems are resolved, LL should consider this their #1 bug, as it is definitely the most widely impacting, and longest running in the game.

I don't understand why it's not even listed as a bug.

Catherine Omega: Yes, but lots of stuff isn't listed. "Making UI harder to use than ever" and "removing all the necessary status icons" things.... there's nothing like that in the release notes. :)

mabye its a 'feature'? :P

(j/k hehe)

i think its cause they all get sorted under individual bugs

i know #9 is quite specifically an error deep down somewhere in the avatar vertex shaders across *ALL* ati cards/driver revs

im assuming it simply deals with how nvidia and ati cards execute some shader commands differently, given that LL seems to have designed the majority of their shaders with CG (nvidia's shader reference language) its not horribly suprising that ati cards continue to render those nvidia compiled shaders improperly

I'm an nVidia user and even I agree that the complete lack of responsibility in addressing some ATi issues is starting to border on the ludicrous.

(Fixed earlier this week)

4. No planting trees on group land.

Fixed in 1.2.10

5. Custom Gestures not saving (PC)

Known Issue, not resolved.

7. Textures out of focus at certain angles

Colin,

I have had Problem # 7 in the past. There is a quick fix for this for users that suffer from it. This should make people happy until the permanent fix has been made by LL.

To resolve #7

1) go to Preferences/display
2) Lower your vid ram setting 1 notch and press apply
3) Raise vid ram setting back to original place and press apply.

Poof, Problem gone. It has never come back..
I guess that this will also give LL a hint as to where the problem is.

seeyas!
