Second Life is most likely much more demanding of high speed, well ordered transmission of packets than the games listed.

Wireless networks aren't supported by Linden Lab, and while they generally work, it's almost certain that they aren't supported because Linden Lab gets crash reports and customer service complaints about wireless networks, data that none of us here get to see.

If you can hook up a cable instead of using wireless that's a simple way to test if the wireless is problem.

You might just need to twist the transmitter around a bit.

Your description sounds like a connection problem to me.

What do you mean by "i'm been having a hard time with the internet as well. "

I would agree it is almost certainly a wireless problem.

Some wireless routers have ports to connect Ethernet cables to. If that's true, you plug the cable in the socket on the router and into an ethernet socket on your computer.

Are you on a networked system with other people? If so do any of the other people use Second Life?

You might want to get someone to help you.

What kind of internet service do you have, cable, dsl, or what?

Depending on how far you are away from the router go to Office Depot (or any other well stocked office supply store) and buy a pre cut length of Cat 5e cable to go between your computer network interface card (or port) and the router. I wouldn't go any further than 50 ft though............move the computer or router if that distance is further than 50'. All routers I know of have ethernet ports (or ports for a wired connection). Choose one, it does not matter which as long as you don't connection to the "internet" port (the one that connects to your modem)............though to be on the first port connect to the port furthest from the internet connection port. You may have to disable your wireless connection in your networking for your OS. Your OS should find the connection and set everything up for you.

The precut lengths of Cat 5 cable comes in 4', 6', 12', 25', 50' and 100'.............and progressively get more expensive. So pick the shortest length that will reach. Much over 50' you start running into potential data transfer issues so try to stay under that length.
