I have a relatively new computer and have never had issues with freezing until the last time the grid booted us all over the place. About a week ago things were all fine until I realized that every 5-10mins I would find my avi freezing in one spot. I could spin around, but could not walk or communicate in IM's. I would shut down SL, start again and then the same process would happen again. I have taken SL off the laptop, reinstalled it and it still continues to happen. I have taken myself off the wireless router and am using a cable, but it still occurs as well.
Does anyone have ANY ideas, it is making conversations damn difficult! HELP

Have you tried resetting your router and modem? When that happens to me that always fixes it.

That has been happening to me as well , exactly as you described. If I rebooted my pc and cleared the cache I could log in. Only to freeze again about 10-15 mins later. I will try resetting my router as well and see what happens.

Resetting your router and modem is easy. Just unplug from the electrical source for 3 to 5 minutes and plug them back in. Wait for the lights to settle down and you should be good to go. It's probably best to shut your computer off while doing it. I sometimes don't and all that I have to do is to reestablish my home network connection. But, I would never recommend anyone to do that.
