Hey, here's an idea... until the Lindens figure out (or care) why sim performaces goes from 600 fps one second to 37 the next for no reason, how about the Sims auto-reboot if they've been empty for X amount of minutes and have no events scheduled?

The sim I'm trying to do work in, Rose, is running like a frozen slug right now and it's just frustrating.

What's even more frustrating is that there has been no response that I've seen from the Lindens saying "we know there is an FPS problem and we're looking into it."

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Some of my objects -require- as much up-time as they can possibly get. I can't have my sim rebooting itself every single f-ing hour.

Forcibly rebooting a server means you're admitting that there's not only a memory leak, but that it's unsolveable. Both are unacceptible.

I would think that admitting that there's a memory leak would be far better than pretending it didn't exist.

Just to tell you, but rebooting a sim takes anywhere from 5 seconds to 5 min depending on the amount of stuff in the sim. Rarely during a sim reboot does the sim loose events.

My experiance has come from working in Rausch...

It would be a band-aid that would encourage them not to fix things.
