I can't login. It's 7:18 EST, 4:18 PST, and my client gets stuck when it gets to the "Registering Agent" phase of the login. grrr.

Note: this is not like Tim Fairchilds problem, there is no abnormal processor usage. Usage is around 12 when SL is maximized and 2-6 when it's minimized.

hey pat - that happens to me from time to time over the past few weeks. i think its indicative of a server problem.

sometimes you can get around it by logging into your home or your last location by changing your preferences prior to login.

(That hinges on if you have these set up to different locations)
Otherwise just quit the app and try logging in a minute later.

I think the SL team is aware of it, but you may wish to send a log file anyway.

There is a great notecard which one of the Lindens has about submitting log files. Check with Haney && || Dan if you would like it.

stuck loggin in on registering agent phase

hey has anyone else experienced the registering agent problem?
i just realized pat and i are both in new york state.

curious if any of you west coast peeps had this prob.

Mine freezes in that state from time to time so I just quit and relogin. Seems to be OK. I'm a eastern time zone person too, but up in the great white north.

I had the problem all day thursday from 7pm-1am EST (which really sucks, cause I had a bunch of scripts I wanted to try out). Unfortunately I'm now away from home for the weekend, and won't be able to try again until monday. I did email tech support twice, once with the log file, but they haven't gotten back to me. I did everything from quitting the program to rebooting, to reinstalling (I even reinstalled my video drivers). Nothing worked as of thursday. I'll check again on monday and post my status.
