This past couple of weeks SL has been running very poorly for me and seemingly progressively getting worse. I just want to know if it's just me or if others are experiencing the same issues.
* Avatars dont load. I frequently see myself as a cloud and never rez. Other people the same.
* Voice is barely working. I hear people like a very poor mobile signal, constantly breaking up.
* Clothes and objects don't rez or take a long time to
* Extreme chat lag, my chat just doesn't show up or shows up all out of order, so it is very difficult to hold a conversation
* things like dance HUDs are barely working, I click on buttons and either nothing happens or it takes several minutes to register
* upon clicking on things like danceballs, I often get teleported to the 0,0,0 location of the sim that I'm in. Earlier I teleported home and got sent to 10,10,10 of my home sim. Underwater and usually with a leg over my head.
this seemed to get bad with the last Release Candidate, it's not really much different with the regular viewer either. maybe marginally better.
Any thoughts? Is this happening to other people?

Tested Nicholaz Eye Candy version, and most of the problems are gone. Chat is working, voice is fine, some slow rezzing of avatars but they are at least rezzing and not Ruth forever. (hey I msised Ruth lol)

since i updated from 1.71...
1.71 is the best for me...
as i see things as box and balls
worst then u... now still the same...

Larissa....you just listed everything that is happening to me And for me, it was since the last update and it has a timeframe. I'm fine during the day but between 20:00 and 22:30, that's when everything goes belly up. It's very frustrating. I amy look into the Nic client. I did post (mistakenly I think so apologies anyone) on the sticky thread dealing with Dos and Don'ts on lag |
