Seashore Erosion? Problem with "Raise Land"

Anyone out there experiencing or know about a problem with the "raise land" tool near the world edges?

I have land right on the edge of the sea in Lusk. I raised the edge bordering the ocean as high as I could, to slope the beach better. Suddenly, the land height dropped far below water level.

Now, no matter what I do, the land adjoining the ocean can't be raised, only lowered... my beachfront is sinking into the sea!!

Help appreciated; this is highly distressing...

(psst, wanna buy a beach house, cheap??)

Yes it has to do with the 45 degree angle limit that was imposed in ver (insert correct ver# here). Land near sim edges or where a steep slope exists can fall dramatically ruining your day and all your plans.

Not good news... but your description matches what I'm seeing. The angle that my beachfront land has taken appears to be exactly 45 degrees... :(

I guess I'm investing in a few stylish fence objects for the duration, or maybe a nice floating dock. Hadn't meant to take up fishing or boating...

Making lemonade,

I've had the same problem, as have my neighbors. I never intended to have a basement (or an underwater room below that!) but when I tried to lower the land it just kept going down. Using the raise land tool lowered it even more.

The best advice I can give is edit your land *before* you build on it and then build to fit what you ended up with. If you try and do it the other way around you're asking for heartache.

As my neighbors continue to try and edit their land my basement will no doubt soon be above ground, lol
