Just wondering if anyone else is having issues where they can't teleport at all. I've been having the problem since last night, and it's getting rather frustrating to the point of me wanting to kill SL on my computer, as in delete it permanently. And I'd hate to do that considering all the money I've put into buying lindens and such. T_T

Hi, Nanami. The grid status page ( http://status.secondlifegrid.net/ ) doesn't mention any TP issues -- but they are often the last to find out. However, it DOES say that about 130 regions are down.
The grid has been having intermittent teleport issues for the last few weeks, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was acting up again. There are really only two things to check on your end: 1. Your network. Often the first clue that your network is marginal is failed TPs - if you're on wireless, for example, or on a shared network at a school, your latency can get so high that you can't keep up with the flurry of data during a TP. If you're on broadband, try power cycling your modem/router. 2. Your avatar. Nowadays, an avatar has to be REALLY outrageously tricked out to make any difference in TP performance, but if you are wearing a ton of scripts (e.g. scripted resizable hair and a bunch of HUDs including an avatar detector) and/or so many prims that your avatar needs a chiropractor, you might have a problem. ![]() |
