Can you find where an Avatar is?

If you have got your setting turned off in contacts which allows people to find out on the map where you are.

Are there other ways people can find you?

No, they have to resort to asking mutual friends.

They could send you an IM asking where you are.

I was asking as I thought I spotted the same person around me once in two different locations, but perhaps it was just the name that was almost the same.

I'm not really sure it was the same person as I didn't take much notice in the 1st location.
I just thought, I'd seen them before.

I hear that it's possible for somebody to be able to track which sim you've teleported to. I'm not sure how though. I guess it'll be a scripted attachment of some sort.

You can get them from off your tail by quickly teleporting again before they arrive.

It's possible somebody was just testing this "feature" out and wasn't really wanting to stalk you.

One thing you need to learn/remember...........there is NO PRIVACY in SL.
