Whenever I log in, a terms of service agreement window pops up. I've been waiting an hour and it still hasn't loaded. I run a Windows XP, if that helps. Thanks!

Hmm... what's your other computer specs? If I had to take a random stab, maybe SL isn't recognizing your wireless as an actual 'net connection? dunno LF

Try moving closer to your wifi hub or router or whatever. I have a feeling that the connection is too slow, and it's as if you're on dialup. If you can plug it in and test it then, that would be good too.

I tried Second Life on my other computer, it got past the terms of service and everything, but now it crashes when I play every minute. Now I'm back on this one, past the TOS too, but I can't move or anything. I can turn and click on things with the pie menu, but not move or build.

That's strange indeed! I guess you tried the wsad keys as well as the up, down, left and right keys?

Hiya Ness. Quick question - do you have any sort of firewall setup, and if so, is it possibly blocking any outgoing ports?

The video is ready. I just need to send it to someone over AIM and hopefully they'll help me/upload it.

Strange, I just raised my KBS in Preferences, and now I can move, but it lags too much. Any way to stop some lag?

Lower draw distance, it's in the Options tab of Preferences.

Already tried that. I seem to lag so much the game freezes, which happens every minute. I have to restart the game but it still happens.

Ness, a lot of these issues sound like they're related to high packet loss. If you look in the upper left of the screen, you'll see two indicators. The left one (I think) indicates packet loss. If you're seeing anything in that one at all, it means that your internet connection is being pretty flaky.
What exactly is "Wireless DSL" in your case? Who's the ISP?

or press alt+1 and look at the packet loss indicator
(note: I also think it is probably packet loss)

I don't know who my ISP is. On my other computer, I have Yahoo! DSL, and down here is connected to a router. It lags a lot and it freezes after a while. Is there any way to fix this packet loss?

I can't view that image. Try making a new post, and make the image an attachment, below where you type in your message.

Ness, the ping sim time in your screen shot seems really high to me (although I'm not entirely sure what that value represents). I suspect that network latency may be at issue - bandwidth and latency can vary independently, you can pull a consistent 500kbps, but if it takes 0.6s to get there, there may be trouble.
On secondlife.com/download/utilities.php are some bandwidth and traceroute tools that may be useful in figuring this out. If you want to post the results here, I might be able to give you some more insight.

Well, I have no idea, hopefully a Linden will reply. However, try switching out routers and stuff. Maybe go buy a nice new D-Link, they seem to be great with SL.
