I was recently in world when my graphics card briefly stopped working and i crashed. This happened twice in a row before getting a warning saying that my display drivers weren't working or something to that effect. I downloaded and installed the new display drivers form the ATI site and when trying to log into SL now it beings to open then crashes immediately. I can not get into SL at all now. I deleted and reload both viewers and it didnt help.

Before all this happened i also did an SL update so the warning started a day after the sl update. Iam at a loss to what the issues is, is it the SL update? The AIT driver update? is my card not compatible with SL now and if so why was it ok before?

This is what my system has:
Vista 64 bit Ultimate
ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series Memory size 1024 MB Core clock in MHz 750 memory clock in MHz 900 MHZ Driver Packaging Version 8.60-090316a1-078238C-ATI
Catalystâ„¢ Version 09.4 2D Driver Version 8.01.01.888
Intel core 2 quad 2,83GHz
RAM 8.00GB
Please if any body could shed some light on what might be my problem i would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!!

Uninstall both SL and Videodrivers, remove all entries and folders (of sl and videodrivers) from your system and reboot. After that, reinstall videodriver (latest) and SL (current normal client).
Hope that helps.

This looks like a hardware failure. Unplug the box for a while from power. Then see if you get a BIOS boot message. That's unrelated to anything Windows/Drivers but you should get some signal to your monitor.

Also check all your other cables. If still nothing try to pull out the card, move it a bit in the slot. May be some bad contact. If all doesn't help it probably died.

Is it only SL viewport not giving a signal or your entire computer?
If so try another 3D game or application, if that fails too then i'm afraid your videocard is dead.

Also when the monitor goes blank after saying no signal i can type my password in and hear that the pc boots up by the windows music, and my video card fan starts to work, so if it was the video card it wouldn't work at all would it? Im thinking by uninstalling SL it has taken a much need file with it.

Just for future information for anybody that might be having this same issue. I was finally able to get into safe mode and do a system restore, so it was SL and the un installing of it that deleted a needed file for the monitor to work properly. The graphic card is fine.
