Hello,
I am a vista user. I have one of the first computers that came out with the vista operating system, but for some reason I keep getting an error message when I try to log into the game. It's something along the lines of, "Your driver is either out of date or the wrong version". I'm pretty sure it's the later of the two. I have a 256MB ATI Radeon X1300PRO. But that card, when I looked at system specs, wasn't up there. Is it the card? Or can I just download a new driver from somewhere? If it's the driver, can somebody give me a link?

I did a guick Google for ATI. The first hit on the first page is the place you want, I think. I followed that to the driver download page and plugged in the search terms for Radeon 1300 series on a Vista 32 bit OS and came up with this driver download page: http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx?p=vista32/common-vista32If I got some of the search terms incorrect that may not be the correct driver so maybe you should do your own search to make sure. I use nVidia so I don't have ATI's driver removal tools (I wish nVidia would follow ATI's lead on that).......be sure you read how to install your driver correctly. Proper driver installation is critical.

I had similar issues with the latest ATI drivers. After speaking with Concierge and trying various things to correct the problem, the end result was having to roll back the driver to the previous version. I think the latest (last I checked) was released the end of July with the version prior being released the beginning of the same month. Roll back to this earlier version if you're an ATI user. Now, as I write this I just did a check on the ATI site for my card and it appears they've updated again to v8.9 drivers. I had the same problem Fixer outlined with the 8.8 drivers but I'm on Win XP.
Edit: Just attempted to use the ATI 8.9 drivers on Win XP running a Radeon 9600 card. Same deal, unsupported message on attempted SL start up.
