My friend is having some issues with her laptop and SL and I suggested it may just be worth trying the other official (or unofficial) versions of the client software to see if she had any more joy.

So, apart from the Official verison we are all using now, and the new Beta version that some are tying.......

What other versions are there?

I know people have commented on a much simplified version.
And I thought I heard about another unofficial version too.

Can anyone explain whats our there and give links to where they may be found so I can pass them onto her so she may try them

thanks

You can get I think everything to run it still, hopefully someone will come by with the links.

There's a list of alternate viewers in the Second Life Wiki.

To find this list you can put the following phrase into a search engine like Google:

second life wiki alternate viewers

The url for this list is http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Alternate_viewers .
