Settings Retention in RC 1.20

Hi!
Have the new 1.20 version of RC. Quite a lot of changes!! Particularly to the viewer screen layout.
However, each time i log in I have to activate voice chat. I also have to open and position mini-map.
In all previous versions, any preference settings were retained for the next visit.
Is this a new "feature", or am i missing a simple option selection?

1.20 cant remember alot of things, like where to save all im's to custom folder , set one restart, and its back to default, new update new issues, fixes? never last.
