Hi guys.

I have a problem with which I hope you can help. For more than a month I have a problem with my avatar clothes. I used to be able to adjust the lenght of my pants and shirts (like everybody), but that is no longer possible. All my avatar clothes appear on my body at maximum lenght no matter how much I try to adjust this in Avatar Appearances.

I reïnstalled SL completely, but that did not help. I also created an alt, but stil have the same problem with that one.

Are there others who have this problem as well? And more important: does anyone have the solution for me? Your help will be highly appreciated.

I'm having exactly the same problem. For the past week or two, roughly since the last update, every pair of pants I own has done this. They show up as maximum length...all the way to my toes ... and they don't respond to sliders in Appearance. I spent L$300 on a pair of boots a month ago too, and can't wear them because one part of them (a sock layer component) textures my legs to the waist ... again defying any control by sliders. I have reinstalled twice, cleared cache, defragged my hard drive, updated graphics card drivers, ...... and still have the problem. It's VERY annoying.

Note added in Edit:

Ah, wait! This may be the answer ..... /327/c0/290074/1.html#post2199540.

OMG Yes! This did the trick!

Palettized textures haven't been properly supported by the GPU manufacturers for a while (since hardly anyone uses them anymore). The features has been removed from Advanced->Rendering->Features->Palettized Textures. Future versions of the viewer won't show it. If you're running into this problem, uncheck the "Palettized Textures" feature from the menu and rebake your avatar. Additionally, make sure that you're running the SL window in your primary monitor, as many drivers have graphical bugs if you're running SL on your second monitor.

This indeed worked.

Thank you so much Rolig. This solved a very annoying problem which I had too long.

Unchecking the "Palettized Textures" feature indeed does the trick. There is still a minor issue though. I have to uncheck the feature everytime I log into SL. Does anyone know how I can save these changes and make it permanent?

I love you, thank you so much for posting this. I've been a black texture for hours now!
