Evga GeForce 9800 GTX

hey guys just bought this card so i can run age of conan, figured it should be able to run SL as well , but of course i keep getting the driver error, all the drivers are up to date from nvidia directly , anyone else have issues or maybe a suggestion, i have tryed all the viewers i can find. but im open to suggestions...

I got a 9800gtx as well.. and im running the 175.16 non beta drivers.. they seem to work just fine for me.. so my question to u is what set of drivers are u using, and what OS u got..

But u are running the driver set for the 9 serries correct, not 8, just curious, and what exactly is this error, a out of date driver error? if the problem keeps haunting you, u might Try uninstalling all drivers in safe mode, reboot your PC into safe mode with networking and when you get the "Found new hardware" click cancel! Next go to the nvidia website and download the latest drivers for your video card and install while in safe mode, my best bet.

just tryed the uninstall , clean sweep reinstall and yes they are the 9 series from nvidias site...

Secondlife is unable to load your video drivers are either unsupported or out of date lol

....... god only knows at this point...

Hmm.. well that just blows my mind there.. if that didnt fix it.. i do apoligise, someone will post sooner or later that know then..

me too.. i didnt really have any probs with mine, just had to uninstall the old and reinstall the new after i put the card in and i didnt really have a hitch.. except with the fan with the 174 drivers.


edit.. thinking about it.. why not try and downgrade your drivers to a 174.xx version and see if that may help,, idk might work,lol

Renu........are you using Vista? I'm using Vista with an 8600GT card and had to revert back a couple revisions (169.25) to get a satisfactory driver to work with SL.

To the OP...........try my set of drivers. I know the 174 drivers are listed as Vista drivers and they were crap with my card and Vista, so maybe the 169 drivers will work with XP. Can't hurt to try anyway.

Yup.. im runnin vista ult.. 64bit... and i sit here missing my xp..lol spent the money so wont revert. before my new card i had the 8600gt as well.. i used a 16X.XX set of drivers as well to get them to work properly too.

problem with this card is the driver roll back only goes as far as 174.xx and i have tryed thoese drivers no sucess.... im gettin sick of this ... lol need the sick video card

Well if u ever get it running its a good mid/high card to have..and sorry to hear u havent got it runnin.. im surprised your having driver issues...hope your luck turns..im clueless on this matter right now..

turn the EXTENSION LIMIT off the it should work
