If your computer crashed and up to that point SL ran fine then after the crash it's not fine I would look for a couple of things to find the source of the problem.
First what caused the crash. But you need to know what type of crash you experienced. A simple program crash where you unexpectedly found yourself looking at your desktop or SL quite responding and you had to force close the program.....a relatively harmless crash that often is never repeated or only happens rarely with no long term inconvenience. Or a system crash where your computer locks, gives you a BSOD or possibly a blank or black screen....even a shut down of your computer. That kind of crash is often signs of major system problems.....something drastically wrong occurred to cause that crash. You need to differiencate between the two common types of crashes for anyone to help you. What kind of crash occurred?
Second what error message, if any, are you getting when you try to log in? Do you get to the log in page? If you do what happenns when you hit the log in button? Does SL close or does it endlessly hang at some point after hitting the button?
Some computer specs would also help a great deal.
